Flutes in low Bb

This flute is based on a Rudall & Rose instrument with relatively small holes for the size of the instrument. This helps to get them covered, as one needs to stretch the fingers quite wide to play a Bb instrument. To minimize the stretch even further we drill some of the holes at an angle, making this a very playable Bb indeed.

The Bb flute is available with up to 6 keys. All keywork is block mounted. There is usually a waiting time for keyed instruments, please contact us for more information.

The Bb flute is offered in African Blackwood and in Boxwood.

All flutes come with a tuning slide and the headjoint is half-lined. The middle piece of this flute, the body, always comes in 2 pieces.
